The Opulent Ability to Give June 1, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jennifer @ 11:14 pm

xmascropI’m continually amazed by God’s provisions for our family.  It hasn’t been easy all the time for us to be a one income family, but it’s teaching us to trust God and his will for our little nest that he has woven together.  We have been blessed with gifts of clothing and toys, diapers and other necessities for both babies.  We have a beautiful home, supportive friends, loving family and so much more.  Sometimes I’m tempted to wish for all the things it seems I don’t have but want, and it takes a change of perspective to get me back to reality and start counting my blessings, thanking God for them, then asking what I can do to be a blessing.  Wouldn’t it be amazing to live out the reality that was the early church:

Acts 4:33-35 “… And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.”

Simplemom.net has always been a fun website to visit, but yesterday it was a reminder to be thankful and I had to share this inspiring post with you:  The Opulent Ability to Give.

Great testimony Jenn. I was privileged to see last month how God is blessing you before he arrives, he’ll be a well dressed guy for sure. It was too cute the day Stella was walking around in a pair of his socks with one of his tiny hats on. Love you!
